Polarization of light
Abstract
The characteristic equation for the Mueller matrix of an arbitrary nondepolarizing optical system is obtained and solved. Polarization eigenstates for all types of nondepolarizing systems are studied. An efficient method for obtaining eigenvectors of matrices as functions of eigenvalues is described.
Abstract
The solution method of the Fraunhofer diffraction on the corner reflector (CR) is represented. This method covers the CRs with the twosided angle deviations between the reflecting planes from 90î. The interdependence between diffraction image structure and performance of CR is considered concerning the diffraction control method.
Abstract
The calculation method of the scattering diagram of the corner reflector is developed and realized taking account of not only the polarization of the illuminating plane wave, refraction indices of the corner reflector manufacture materials but also the twosided angles deviations between the reflecting surfaces from 90î.
Light Scattering
Abstract
In this paper we present an approximate analysis for a stochastic laser beam transfer through a scattering two-component Markovian mixture. We also compare this transfer with one of the beam through equivalent uniform media. The problem is considered by using the so-called small angle approximation. Within the framework of our approach we obtain some sets of differential equations, defining a total transferred energy and an effective size of the beam. Our results show that transfer of laser radiation through binary Markovian media differs from transfer through uniform media considerably.
Abstract
Laser radiation transfered in binary Markovian mixture is compared with radiative transfer in equivalent uniform media. In the framework of the small angle approximation we obtain some sets of differential equations, defining second order angular moments (angular dispersion) of the laser beam and an equation describing the laser beam intensity are obtained. Our results show a considerable influence of medium stochasticity on the laser beam intensity and angular structure.
